Q: What are benefits of joining the fan club?
A: We are very happy to announce that John's Fan Club has been re-launched! The club is now called Club Cherry Bomb - The Official John Mellencamp Fan Club. We are going to work hard to make it a fun place for Mellencamp fans to have insider access, meet other devoted fans and better enjoy John Mellencamp's career.
For a $40 annual membership fee, members will receive the following Club benefits:

Q: Is the Club Cherry Bomb Message Board only for PAID fan club members?
A: The board will have a general forum where fan club members who are FREE/BASIC member can post.
No. The message board has several forums. Your membership status will determine what forums you can see and post to. All site visitors have access to read a few forums. FREE members can post to those forums. PAID members have access and posting privledges to all off the forums, including forums hidden to guests and FREE members.

Q: What should I use for my user name?
A: When signing up for a FREE or PAID Club Cherry Bomb membership you will have to pick a user name and password. Your USER NAME is what will be displayed when you post to the Club message board, be sure to pick something you are comfortable with other members seeing.

Q: Who do I contact if I need more help?
A: On the bottom of every page of Club Cherry Bomb is a link to the Frequently Asked Questions section as well as a link to Contact the club/website/provider. Use the contact section to enter your information and choose the type of question you have. We will try to respond as soon as possible.

Q: I was a member of John's old fan club(s). Am I a member of Club Cherry Bomb?
A: No, you are not a member of Club Cherry Bomb unless you have paid to join through our website.
Club Cherry Bomb is an all new John Mellencamp fan club. If you were a member of any of our previous fan clubs (operated by FansRule/FanEmporium) you have to join again.
John's old fan club was closed in June 2003. This club was launched in Feburary 2005.

Q: How do I purchase tickets through the fan club?
A: We suggest you go and read the Ticket FAQ for complete details. You will have a much better understanding of the process after reading that FAQ.
In general, PAID members of Club Cherry Bomb will see a link at the top of the page for Tickets.
When a show has pre sale tickets available, they will appear in the Club Ticket Store when accessed through the Fan Club Tickets link. If you are PAID member log in, then click the TICKETS link. If there are any show tickets avilable, they will then appear.
Please note that all shows will have a limit on how many tickets we will have. All members are not guaranteed to get tickets to a show through the Ticket Sale. We will offer as many tickets as possible, but tickets will be first come, first served.
You will get a confirmation of your order once you have checked out, and then about 1 to 3 weeks before the show your tickets will arrive in the mail.

Q: Can I purchase more than one Club Cherry Bomb membership?
A: No. Johnmellencamp.com, Mellencamp.com, and Clubcherrybomb.net will accept only one membership per person. However, a household can have more than one member charged to the same address/credit card.
If we determine that a single person has joined (or attempted to join) more than once, or if we receive multiple membership applications from a single and/or cluster of e-mail addresses verified to single user, we reserve the right to cancel all applicable memberships, invalidate any John Mellencamp concert tickets purchased under the applicable membership(s), and retain all membership fees paid as liquidated damages in order to cover the multitude of damages, costs and fees that we incur as a result of these forbidden activities.

Q: I don't have a credit card, can I purchase tickets or a fan club membership with a check or money order?
A: No. We only accept credit cards for payment.

Q: Are fan club memberships refundable?
A: No. The terms of service for the John Mellencamp Club Cherry Bomb Fan Club clearly state that there are no refunds for fan club memberships, for any reason, including non-use of the site, or the inability to purchase pre sale tickets.

Q: Why can't I log in?
A: If you do not know the user name you signed up for our Official Mailinglist with, please use the link below the login box to have your user name and a new password e-mailed to your e-mail address.
If you lost your login, follow the same steps from the login page, click the link to recover your user name and password.
When logging on, make sure that you are only entering your user name and NOT your e-mail address.
Also try not to use capital letters when typing your user name, just use all lower case letters.
Once you are logged in, please make sure you update your profile and verify your information first. After that, you should be able to log in normally.

Q: Why is my member name taken?
A: Member usernames are given out first come, first served. In addition, select names have been reserved for band use. If the name you selected is taken, please select another username.
NOTE: If you were registered in the OLD e-mail list, you are already a FREE Member! If you would like to UPGRADE to a full paid membership, click the LOGIN link near the top and enter your username and password. Once you are logged in, you will see a link for UPGRADE. Click this, complete your payment, and you are all set.

Q: I've logged in now I can't log out?
A: You need to close all your browser windows in order to clear your browser sessions.

Q: I was a member of the Official John Mellencamp Mailinglist, am I a member of Club Cherry Bomb?
A: If you were registered in our Official Mellencamp Mailinglist after September 2004 you are already a FREE Member! If you would like to UPGRADE to a full paid membership LOGIN using your USERNAME and PASSWORD. Then click UPGRADE in the nav bar, complete or update your profile information and then proceed to checkout.
If you are unsure if you were a member of our official mailinglist just go to the login page and try to recover your user name and password by clicking the link under the login box. Enter your e-mail address and if you were signed up it will send you your user name and password.
If you were NOT signed up it will say it doesn't recognize your e-mail address. If this is the case go sign up from scratch!

Q: I requested a new password but I still can't log in.
A: After receiving a new password make sure you log in to the http://www.clubcherrybomb.net/login.php page first and then you should be able to access the members area.
Be sure that you are entering your USER NAME and not your e-mail address in the USER NAME field of the login. Wait a few hours and try to log in again with the new password the system sent you.

Q: How do I change my password?
A: You can change your password after logging in to http://www.clubcherrybomb.net/login.php. Look for the link that says My Profile where you can update your password and all of your personal information.

Q: I've signed up for the FREE membership. Why I can't access the member's area?
A: The members area and pre sale ticket access is for PAID members only. If you would like to upgrade your account, please log in with your FREE account information and then click on the UPGRADE link.

Q: How does my discount in the online store work?
A: The discount for merchandise in the online store is only for Club Cherry Bomb fan club members who have purchased a subscription membership. In order to receive your discount, you must follow these steps:
Login to the Club Cherry Bomb fan club with your username and password. Once logged in, click on the store link. The items that appear in the store - once you are logged in and follow these steps - will already have your discount reflected in the price that you see. Select the items you wish to purchase, and follow the steps to check out.
During check out you may see a box that lets you enter a promo code. You do not need to enter anything into this field. Your discount was automatically calculated on all items when you entered the store, as long as you're logged in as a PAID member.

Q: How do I renew my membership?
A: 1. Log into the club website.
2. Click on MY PROFILE once logged in.
3. At the top of your profile there will be a link to RENEW.

Q: I am having trouble logging into the website and/or I am having problems accessing some sections. What should I do?
A: Try logging out of the website and logging back in fresh. When you log back in, do NOT click the remember my login box. See if that corrects your problem. Make sure you are logging in with your PAID user name. Some fans have more than one user name from being signed up on our old official mailinglist. You can check your membership status in your MY PROFILE section when logged in. If it doesn't show you as being a PAID member, try to remember if you signed up with a different user name.

Q: I am an AOL user and am having trouble signing up or signing into the website. What should I do?
A: Some versions of AOL seem to conflict with the club website. We suggest you use either the Internet Explorer or FireFox web browsers instead of the one that comes with AOL.
1. Sign on To AOL
2. Open Internet Explorer and use it instead of AOL
3. If you continue to have problems, try downloading and using the FireFox web browser (now the #2 browser behind Internet Explorer) from www.getfirefox.com

Q: Can you give me the steps to get a new password?
A:
1. Go to http://www.clubcherrybomb.net
2. Click LOGIN
3. Underneath the login box there is a link that says "Forgot your username/password?"
4. Click on that and put in your e-mail address
5. You will be e-mailed your user name and a new password
6. Go back to the LOGIN page and enter your user name and password
7. If it doesn't work wait an hour or two and try the new password again

Q: I am having problems logging in. Do you have any tips I can try?
A: If you are having repeated problems logging in and you have your user name and password try:
Tip 1: use all lower case letters for your user name
Tip 2: if you are an AOL user some versions have some glitches with the login. Try logging in using Internet Explorer, Netscape or FireFox instead of using the AOL browser.
Tip 3: if you can't get logged in, try from another computer.
Tip 4: if you can't get logged with the browser you currently have, try downloading and installing the FireFox browser, it is small, fast and glitch free. www.getfirefox.com
Tip 5: if you just recovered your username/password, wait an hour or two and try to log in again. Sometimes the new passwords generated work after a little delay.
Tip 6: be sure you are logging in with just your user name. Your user name is not your e-mail address. Do not use the @youremail.com when you log in
Tip 7: try logging out of the website and logging back in fresh. When you log back in, do NOT click the remember my login box. See if that corrects your problem.

Q: I need to update my address/contact information, or I need to check my membership status. How do I do that?
A:
1. Once logged in go to MY PROFILE and check your membership status (PAID OR FREE)
2. Update your personal info on the MY PROFILE page
3. At the top of the MY PROFILE it says if you are a FREE or PAID member

Q: Can you give me the steps I should take to upgrade from a FREE to PAID membership?
A:
1. Go to http://www.clubcherrybomb.net
2. Click LOGIN and log in with your user name and password
3. Once logged in, go to MY PROFILE and check your membership status (PAID OR FREE)
4. If you are a FREE and want to be PAID click the bottom at the top that says UPGRADE
5. You will be taken into the FanFire.com John Mellencamp store and a membership will be put in your shopping cart
6. Complete the cart checkout, you will get a confirmation e-mail
7. Go back to http://www.clubcherrybomb.net
8. Click LOGIN and log in with your user name and password
9. Once logged in go to MY PROFILE and check your membership status (PAID OR FREE)
10, You should now be a PAID member. When logged in this will give you access to the PAID MEMBER BENEFITS like pre sale concert tickets and website content.
Tip 1: Make sure to purchase only a membership. Don't buy any merchandise with your membership
Tip 2: Make sure to set your billing and shipping addresses to say what your credit card says (you can change it before you order something that will actually mail something to you)
Tip 3: Enter only the 5 digit version of your zip code, don't enter the 9 digit version
Tip 4: Try using all lower case letters for your information if the system gives you an error

Q: Credit Card Processing - How long does it take?

Payment:
Immediately upon purchase, your credit card will have a hold for the funds placed on it. Within 24-48 hours of purchase, the charge will be applied if your bank approves the charge. If you place a order and received the e-mail invoice, your order has been submitted. If your credit card has not been charged after two full business days, please feel free to use the CONTACT form to submit your ticket concern.
Refunds:
Credit card companies vary on the time it takes for a credit to appear on their customer's account. Please allow one to two billing cycles for the refund to appear on your statement.

A: Once you log into the site with you user name and password, click on the Webmail button and you will be brought to the Webmail page.

Q: What is my Club Cherry Bomb e-mail address?
A: The user name that you selected when you joined Club Cherry Bomb will become your @johnmellencamp.com e-mail address. It cannot be changed.

A: No. Club Cherry Bomb Webmail is web-based only, which means you will not be able to check it with a regular POP e-mail client (such as Outlook, Eudora, Netscape, Mail etc.)

Q: How much mail storage do I have with my Club Cherry Bomb Webmail account?
A: Mail storage is limited to 10 megabytes.

Q: Will Club Cherry Bomb Webmail work with all Internet browsers?
A: As a rule of thumb, yes, though a few users have had problems while using AOL as their built-iin browser. If you are experiencing problems, we recommend using an external browser such as Internet Explorer, Netscape, Safari etc.

Q: Do I own my Club Cherry Bomb e-mail address forever?
A: Your Club Cherry Bomb e-mail address is a benefit that coincides with your annual membership fee. You will have to renew your Club Cherry Bomb membership to keep your Club Cherry Bomb e-mail address active.

Q: Can I add a signature/phrase to my outgoing Club Cherry Bomb e-mail?
A: Yes. Login to your Club Cherry Bomb e-mail and cllick on "e-mail preferences." You will see an area to add your signature/phrase.

Q: When I click webmail I get a strange error message. What can I do?
A: You can e-mail your error message to help@mellencamp.com. If you are able to get logged into the club site but are only getting the error on the WEBMAIL page, you can try the following steps that often resets your mail box and fixes the log in problem.:
